- Be a registered healthcare professional
- Be entitled to refer under Spire procedures
- Provide comprehensive and patient-specific clinical information to justify the radiation exposure
The role of the referrer
- Referrers must be registered healthcare professionals and entitled to refer under Spire procedures
- You must legally provide sufficient clinical information, specific to the patient to enable a radiology practitioner to justify the exposure to radiation

If not, do not refer.
Seek advice from a radiologist if uncertain, or refer to ‘i-Refer’ guidelines (contact the imaging department for access).
